Teaching My Son About Jackie Robinson Through The Show
I wanted to share something a little more personal. I’ve been playing MLB The Show 25 with my 9-year-old son, and yesterday we loaded up the Jackie Robinson content. He asked me, “Why is everyone wearing 42?”—and Buy mlb 25 stubsthat sparked a whole conversation.
I told him about who Jackie Robinson was, what he had to overcome, and how he changed baseball forever. We looked up old highlights, read some articles, and then played through the Jackie Moments together. He was so into it.
What really hit me was when he turned to me and said, “He was brave, huh?”
Yes, son. Very brave.
Gaming can be more than entertainment. Yesterday, it became a history lesson, a bonding moment, and a tribute to someone who mattered. I’m grateful The Show creates opportunities for that.
So yeah, I just wanted to say thanks. To the devs, to this community, and to Jackie Robinson—who continues to inspire across generations.
